About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) for our customer-facing consumer electronics team in Taipei. Reporting to the local FAE lead, this role provides technical support to customers and works closely with internal teams to ensure successful deployment of our technologies across PCs, mobile devices, gaming peripherals, TVs, and soundbars. The ideal candidate can independently handle day-to-day technical account matters and support customer and project needs.
What you will get to do:
1. Audio Service:
- Tune Xperi audio solutions on customer devices for demos and production programs, delivering high-quality audio within tight timelines.
- Partner with sales teams on customer needs, pre-sales activities, presentations, and demos.
- Identify audio issues in customer pipelines, diagnose root causes where possible, and recommend tuning adjustments.
- Clarify technical requirements, train customers on tuning workflows, and coordinate with engineering teams as needed.
2. Software Integration:
- Support integration of Xperi solutions into customer products across PCs, mobile devices, TVs, soundbars, and gaming peripherals.
- Capture customer software and system requirements and align them with internal engineering teams.
- Validate customer integrations and internal SDKs for functionality, performance, and final tuning readiness.
- Perform initial issue triage, support testing and diagnosis, and provide feedback on SDK workflows and documentation.
3. Account Management:
- Work with customers to understand goals, concerns, and product requirements, and help manage day-to-day technical account topics as needed.
- Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, best practices, and on-site support during integration when needed.
- Maintain day-to-day communication on active requests, technical issues, and follow-up items, and share customer feedback with internal teams as appropriate.
Who we are looking for:
Must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in audio / acoustic related engineering role and / or 5+ years of customer-facing technical supporting role.
- Understanding of audio concepts, technologies, and system pipelines.
- Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Good sense of collaboration and responsibility.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
Nice to have:
- Familiar with one or more programming or scripting languages.
- Familiar with audio signal processing concepts.
- Understanding of software development workflows and tools such as Git and JIRA.
- Project management skills.
